Jacob Guzman was born and raised in Austin, TX. He is self-taught in various mediums and uses raw materials to construct every aspect of his works. Guzman’s work depicts aspects of daily inner-city struggles, cultural values, and spirituality, which are especially rooted in knowledge of self. Inspired by the sounds of Jazz and Soul music, he finds inspiration in a wide array of their characteristics, from the instruments being played to the cover of the album itself. He currently lives and works out of Austin, TX.
