U2FP thinks people with an SCI should be at the center of the treatment and research process. We're not waiting for permission, but taking action. And it's working. Our small but smart grassroots effort is having a huge return on investment for the SCI community.
Consider a few of our accomplishments:
Passed $40M in state legislation over the past 8 years that is overseen by SCI scientists and those of us in the community.
These research grants have already restored some level of lost function in 200 individuals with an SCI
Placed 19 individuals with a spinal cord injury into 10 SCI research labs as lived-experience consultants
But we're dealing with deep cuts at the federal level and need your support to sustain and expand our important work!

A growing spinal cord organization that works to educate on spinal cord injury/disabiltiy and support the research by incorperating those with lived expeirnce into as consultants into the landscape, ulitmatly to expedite the research process from labs to clincal treatments.
