Who may participate?

This event is for ExxonMobil employees, retirees, contractors, and their friends and families. Please note that the event is NOT open to the general public.

I don't have campus access. How can I get access to campus?

In the registration form, you will be asked if you need campus access. By selecting "Yes", we will know to grant you visitor access for the event.

I can't participate, but my family members want to. Can they participate without me?

Yes, bring them to campus and cheer them on at the finish line.

Are children allowed to participate?

Children are invited and welcome! Kids can participate in the 5K for a cheaper cost than the adult registration fee. There is no minimum age restriction, but we do ask that you be responsible for your children.  Children 12 and under may also participate in the Kids Fun Run at no cost.

Can I bring a stroller?

Strollers are allowed during both the Kids Fun Run and the 5K. It is recommended to only walk with a stroller on the 5K course, due to some narrow and uneven sections of the trails.

Is the course ADA accessible?

Unfortunately, portions of the trails are not ADA accessible.

What is the cost of participation?

Early Bird (March 1st - March 14th): Adults $35, Kids $25 
Regular (March 15th-29th): Adults $40, Kids $30 
Day Of (March 30th): Adults $45, Kids $35 

To guarantee your shirt by race day, you must register by 5pm on Monday, March 11th. All registrants after March 11th will receive their shirts after the race.

What do I get for my registration fee?

A scenic 5K run/walk through campus, an awesome t-shirt, a fun afterparty with music and kids' activities, prizes for winning teams & individuals, and pride in supporting the United Way!

What does it mean to participate in a team?

Individuals who wish to participate together can create a team to compete and be eligible for additional team prizes.  Team awards include "Highest Fundraising Total", "Fastest Average Time", "Most Spirited", and "Middle of the Pack". ERG's are encouraged to create teams. To register and compete as a team, you must have 5 or more individuals.

What payment types are accepted?

We will accept credit/debit cards via Qgiv through the online registration. Credit/Debit cards will be accepted on the day of the race. Cash and checks will NOT be accepted.

Where does my registration fee go?

Registration fees will be donated to the United Way of Greater Houston.

Is my sign-up fee tax-deductible? Will I get a receipt?

A portion of your sign-up fee is tax-deductible. The amount will be calculated after the organizing committee calculates and deducts the fair market value (FMV) of any goods or services you receive. Tax receipts can be requested after the event.

Can I donate more to United Way than my registration fee if I choose to do so?

Yes! We welcome additional donations to the event using the Additional Contribution field in the registration form.

Can I just donate and not run?

Absolutely! Please do so by visiting our  Donation Site.

What is the cancellation policy?

Although we will not be able to refund your donation to United Way, we will send your t-shirt(s) after the event.

What happens if it rains?

We will run, rain or shine, but if deemed unsafe, we will notify you of cancellation.

Who is planning this event?

This event is brought to you by the 2019 United Way Central Campaign Team, ONE, & oneEMIT.

Can I wear my headphones during the run?

As a safety precaution, we discourage the use of headphones.
