I'm Brittany Thompson and I'm a costume contestant with my husband Patrick! We love Halloween so volunteering to be in CCAHT's annual fundraiser & dress up like our favorite duo was a no brainer. During the work day, you can find me as the Director of Adult Services here at CCAHT and during the evenings and on weekends I am a mother of two, a wife, and an all-around good time.
I'm very passionate about the work we do and how we choose to see beyond the black and white when helping surviviors make big life decisions. I'm proud to work for CCAHT because of the gray zone in which we operate, and the way every survivor served is shown love, respect, and a chance to start over - as many times as it takes. I wanted to be costume contestant because all funds raised will directly support the survivors I have the amazing opportunity to work with every single day—at our Emergency Receiving Center, our transitional living program (Phoenix House), or out in the community.
Our next project for Adult Services is the completion of our Survivor Care Center. This space will provide therapeutic support to survivors with unique circumstances such as requiring pet care, male trafficking survivors, and those with mobility needs, as well as creating a “hive” for survivor activities and innovative care solutions.
