Tonya Stoutt-Brown as The Fairy Godmother
Hi! I’m Tonya! My background is in marketing and media, and I love dressing up in costume and making people smile! Putting on the sparkle and shine as a fairy godmother suits me just fine! I’m going to have fun “bringing the magic” to this contest – especially knowing that it can be a small part of granting someone’s wish for hope and healing in the real world.
I’m a mother of two daughters, and I want my community to be safe for all of East Tennessee’s children. With a large and far-reaching problem like human trafficking, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, scared, or unsure how, individually, each one of us could possibly make a difference.
The answer is the Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking. It’s an organization that supports survivors of human trafficking right here where we live. The damage done by traffickers doesn’t end the moment an arrest is made or even when a victim has found safety. The process of healing from this type of trauma takes time and a deep, unwavering commitment from people who care.
I may not personally be able to hold a perpetrator accountable or hold a survivor’s hand on the journey toward hope and healing, but I can do my part to by grabbing my fairy godmother wand, dusting off my fairy wings, and offering a little magic to support for CCAHT’s important mission!
