About This Event
This year’s theme, “Unraveling Homelessness,” analyzes the five common threads that lead many of our clients to homelessness, including:
- Poverty: low-income jobs, low educational attainment, poor financial education.
- Illness: physical and mental illnesses, lack of health insurance and access to care, medical debt.
- Abuse: domestic and sexual violence, adverse childhood experiences, substance abuse, and more.
- Food Insecurity: rising costs of living and lack of access to healthy food.
- Housing: barriers to housing, affordable housing inventory.
We will discuss how Talbot House’s programs are designed to address each of these critical needs and how, together, our community can weave a stronger and more resilient future.
Tickets will be $75 per person and pre-registration is required. For more information please email Carley Lintner or call (863) 687-8475, ext. 140.
