Raising Funds for the Africa Mercy
We have raised funds in support of the new ship and have in reality “paid” for the surgical water system provided to Global Mercy. This would not have been accomplished except through the efforts of our generous vendors, customers, employees and friends of Smith Engineering and Mercy Ships. Well done to all!
Smith Engineering remains engaged with Mercy Ships in 2023. Our efforts now turn to the design for a water system upgrade to the Africa Mercy, the original of the “big ships” in the Mercy Ships fleet. The Africa Mercy is a converted ferry ship that provides the same lifesaving medical care to parts of the world lacking any significant medical infrastructure. Smith Engineering’s fund-raising efforts will now reset with the Africa Mercy as the target. We hope you will continue to support this worthy cause. As we move into 2023 we are excited to continue the mission to bring hope and healing to those with little access to surgical care.
