Veto Beach Rowing is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization promoting and teaching the sport of rowing to the community.  The club offers programs for youth and "masters" (us older folks) as well as outreach programs for many people who would not otherwise have the opportunity enjoy our beautiful waterway in a rowing shell.  Soon after moving to Vero Beach about three years ago I took an adult Learn To Row program  and I was instantly hooked! Now I'm rowing 5 days a week in boats including as many as 8 rowers.  I also volunteer to assist with Learn To Row classes, help with community outreach programs, fundraising efforts and serve on our membership/social committees.  Most of all, the club has offered me the comradeship of many great new friends.  Check out our website http://vero beach rowing.org. 
 

Today, I am reaching out to friends and family to help me raise money for my Club's Youth Rowing Program during our upcoming Ergathon. Many of you may have seen rowing machines in your gyms.  We rowers practice our technique on these land based machine we call Ergs (short of ergometer).  During the Ergathon each of our teams will endeavor to keep the wheels spinning, in relay with our teammates, for an entire marathon distance of 42,195 meters! Your support will keep me going! Your tax deductible donation will help us achieve our goal of offering the sport to all youth in our community regardless of any financial restrictions.
