The Virginia for Vets goal is to eliminate medical debt for those who sacrificed so much for our freedom.
RIP Medical Debt is the 501(c)3 organization we are partnering with to help eliminate medical debt, not only in Virginia, but our neighboring states, and the U.S. at large.
How Does it Work?
RIP Medical Debt makes bulk purchases of medical debt at a greatly reduced cost. Once a particular state accrues $12,500 in donations, RIP Medical Debt will forgive $1 Million in medical debt specifically for that state. Letters will go out to the recipients of debt relief to let them know which accounts have been bought and forgiven. RIP Medical Debt will then work to repair their credit where those particular debts are concerned.
How Can I Help?
You can help by making individual donations though this secure website. Click the DONATE button above and give as you are able. No amount is too small. You can also invite others in your state to register for their own campaign or donation and increase your impact even further!

Yes…a big difference! Did you know, according to the Henry Kaiser Family Foundation, over 32% of the US population lives in households with gross income less than two times the federal poverty guidelines? A recent economic report indicated that almost 50 percent of the US population could not come up with a $400 unexpected expense without selling an asset or taking out a loan. Imagine a veteran who sacrificed so much for our country having to take out a loan or foreclose on their home due to medical bills. You can change that nightmare into a dream come true. Every dollar donated will buy and abolish the equivalent of $100 of medical debt.
