The frail elderly are the fastest-growing age group in America. People are living longer and more than 90% of elderly want to age at home rather than move to senior housing. But, for many of the frail elderly, there is a gap between their desires and the reality of their lives.
VISTE fills that gap with quality of life services that seniors need to remain in their homes and out of nursing homes or assisted living facilities, including:
Transportation, especially for medical appointments
Nutritional support (supplemental groceries and hot meals)
Personal Care Items
In Home care and emergency monitoring service.
“Socialization” and “reassurance” activities, including birthday cakes, that keep our clients connected to the world outside their homes.
All of these services are free of charge. How?? Because of donors like you! Just $36 a month will provide hot meals for a frail senior, delivered by a smiling volunteer.
