#Voiceless4AnimalJustice 2021

Being vegan for over 4 years now (vegetarian for 12 yrs) and joining the Animal Justice Academy earlier this year, has opened my eyes to the reality and cruelty that animals face here in Canada, and worldwide.

Taken from Animal Justice's event page, here is some helpful information I would like whomever reads this to know, and why I'm creating this fundraising page:

"Many people are shocked to learn that Canada has some of the worst animal protection laws in the western world.

In Canada, there are no federal regulations protecting animals from abuse on farms, in zoos and aquariums, or in laboratories. It’s still legal to import and sell dog and cat fur, animal trophies, and elephant ivory. In Canada, it’s legal to kill and eat your pets.

While many countries around the world are constantly passing new laws protecting animals, Canada is falling behind".

This news is terrifying and heart breaking. Animals are sentient beings who deserve love, protection, freedom and serenity. Speciesism is alive and well here in Canada, so I am encouraging those reading this to please have the same empathy you would for a house pet, for Farm Animals, animals in captivity (such as zoo's & labs) who's lives are cut short and know nothing besides abuse, torture, neglect, fear and death.
