Fundraising for the Protection of Animals

As close friends and family members know by now, I adore animals and I am passionate about doing what I can to help those in need.  Through my life, I have had the honour to share my life with some amazing non-human animals, and in part it has been through these connections that I have opened my eyes and heart to the plight of many sentient beings on the planet.  I believe in living a life of love and compassion and acknowledging the value and worth of all living beings.  

This new fundraising experience I take on in loving memory and honour of my dear Fuzzy, who passed away earlier this year.  I can't see a better way to honour her memory than to fundraise for an organization that is dedicated to protecting animals.  Animal Justice is Canada’s only national animal law advocacy organization working to protect animals from cruelty and neglect. Their lawyers make sure animals have a voice in court, push for stronger laws, and raise the profile of animals in the media.

For the next 3 weeks, I will be fundraising as part of #VoicelessforAnimalJustice.  The proceeds will go toward ensuring Animal Justice can continue to work to give animals the legal protections they need. Then, on the final day of the campaign (November 6) I pledge to go silent for an entire day in solidarity with and to advocate for the animals whose voices are silenced.
