My Personal Fundraising Page

There are *no* federal restrictions protecting animals in zoos, farms, & aquariums, not even your pets. Shocking, isn't it? When I first found out, my whole world turned upside down. Animals are property without rights? Okay. 

In perfect timing, I discovered Animal Justice, the only national animal law organization fighting for the welfare of animals. They defend animals in the courts & legislature, pushing for stronger and more effective laws. Animals deserve better, and although things aren't perfect, Animal Justice has made STRIDES for animals in Canada, such as increasing the welfare of animals through animal welfare bills (Bill S-203, legislation  that bans keeping whales and dolphins in captivity, for instance) & setting monumental precedent for animal *rights* in the court room. 
 

It is our responsibility to look after our fellow earthlings. The natural world has done so much for me, the least I can do is give back where possible.
