The four original Clarks members Scott Blasey (vocals, acoustic guitar), Rob James (6 and 12-string electric guitars, vocals), Greg Joseph (bass, vocals) and Dave Minarik (drums, vocals) first met while students at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in the late 80’s.

Melinda Colaizzi shines as the front-woman of Melinda and the Night Sky, an American rock and blues band born in Pittsburgh, PA. Featuring her songwriting partner and guitarist Kristian Habenicht, the group builds a foundation of funk into the earth so Melinda's voice can soar. Just as The Rolling Stones came in the wake of Muddy Waters, Melinda and the Night Sky pick up where Janis Joplin and Tina Turner left off.
You'd be forgiven if the band made you think of Daisy Jones & The Six... but unlike that fictional band, MATNS is real. The band has shared the stage with iconic acts like the legendary B.B. King Blues Band, Sue Foley, and Lez Zeppelin, and in 2020 Melinda and the Night Sky collaborated on an exclusive beer with North Country Brewing, which won the prestigious ARTBREW award.
A staple of 91.3 FM WYEP's radio rotation, Melinda and the Night Sky round out their sound with bassist Mike Ekis, drummer Dennis Garner, Skip Sanders on keys, and Marc Reisman on harmonica. The band regularly features the BGVs, a background vocal trio of Katy Cotten, Delana Flowers, and Carmen Miller.
Melinda is also the Founder of Women Who Rock™, an organization which has united some of the biggest female stars in music to raise funds and awareness for understudied women's health research.
"If you've ever wondered what it would be like to have Janis Joplin and the Rolling Stones combined to form one artist, look no further than Melinda." — Blues Rock Review

"In a better world, Joe Grushecky would live in a mansion down the road from Springsteen's. Instead, this enormous talent spends his days teaching some of western Pennsylvania's most troubled children....Who do you know who has made back-to-back great albums more than 20 years ago, and is doing the same thing now. There's Dylan, Lucinda Williams, Neil Young, Springsteen, maybe a few more. He's on that level." - Jimmy Guterman, Runaway American Dream: Listening to Bruce Springsteen
Joe Grushecky’s music has stood the test of time. For 30 years publications such as Billboard, Rolling Stone, Village Voice, No Depression, and countless others have hailed him as one of rock & roll’s most talented singer-songwriters.

Megan Paullet is an award-winning, Pittsburgh-based multi-genre artist known for her powerhouse vocals, sharp songwriting, and electrifying live performances. Raised on an eclectic soundtrack of Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, Whitney Houston, and Janis Joplin, she has crafted a sound that blends neo-soul, funk, and pop-rock with emotional honesty and undeniable groove.
After overcoming years of stage fright and stepping away from a decade-long career as a competitive swimmer, Paullet joined her first band in 2014 — a turning point that launched what would become a steadily rising music career. Since then, she has earned a reputation as one of Western Pennsylvania’s most compelling independent voices, praised by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as a “standout” performer with vocals that are both commanding and deeply expressive.
Her latest single, “I Just Wanna Stay Home,” marks a fresh creative chapter, pairing infectious hooks with candid lyricism and a knowing nod to modern burnout, vulnerability, and self-preservation. The release highlights Paullet’s evolving sound while staying rooted in the soulful storytelling that defines her work.
Backed by her eight-piece band, The HR Department, Paullet delivers a high-energy, soul-soaked live show built on tight funk grooves, bold band chemistry, and moments that feel both electric and intimate. She has performed on stages across Pittsburgh and nationwide, including Stage AE, Heinz Hall, PPG Paints Arena, The Benedum Center, Capital One Arena, Cheyenne Frontier Days, and numerous festivals and theaters across the country.
Her collaborations include appearances and performances with the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Washington Wizards, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Emmy Award-winning artist FRZY, and shared stages with Los Lonely Boys, Petey Pablo, John Hall (Orleans), Josh Gallagher, and members of Sponge and Ted Nugent’s band.
In 2025, Paullet was awarded Best Singer/Songwriter at the Iron City Rocks Music Awards and continues to build momentum with new releases and performances, establishing herself as an artist whose groove, grit, and authenticity leave a lasting impression.
Emmy Ploskina is a Pittsburgh-based singer whose musical roots run deep in the Steel City. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, she honed her voice as a member of the a cappella group The Songburghs and found her rock edge fronting the college garage band Dawson Band. She has since taken the stage at venues across the Pittsburgh area, including Auberle's 21st Annual Voices Carry fundraiser. By day, Emmy works as an electrical engineer at Westinghouse — but when the lights go down, the music takes over.
