Pictured here is Olivia DeVeaux.  In July 2016, Olivia was diagnosed with Stage 4 Wilms Tumor. Wilms tumor is known to start in the kidneys and spread to other areas of the body.  In Olivia’s case, the tumor started in her pelvic floor and metastasized to her lungs.  Olivia had several rounds of chemotherapy treatment at VCU.  The tumor was reduced in size and over 90% removed with surgery.  However, the remaining tumor became more aggressive and resistant to most treatments. Olivia underwent more rounds of treatment with a combination of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. After a tough fight, Olivia opted for her Angel Wings on May 26, 2017.  Prior to her passing, Olivia was part of a small fundraiser that was orchestrated to give back the ASK Foundation.  I will never forget the words, " Daddy don't forget to give the check to the ASK Foundation".  Olivia loved the ASK Foundation very much because they were there for her 110%.  Their support came in the form of smiles, hugs, encouragement, a Chaplin, a nutritionist, a child psychologist, games, snacks, family events, book reading and much more.
