Does everyone have to register in advance?
Yes, we will not be able to help register people at the event. However, registration will remain open until the start of the walk, so if you have a smart phone or a tablet, you will be able to register up until that point.
Is the Walkathon "Rain or Shine?"
Absolutely! If it looks like it's going to rain, we'll remind you to dress appropriately.
How will I check in at the event?
When you arrive, there will be clearly-marked signs indicating where to check in (runners will collect their bibs here).
Will I be able to purchase a t-shirt at the event?
Unfortunately, no. T-shirts must be pre-ordered.
Is there a minimum goal for a team?
Nope!
What happens if a team or individual doesn't meet their goal?
There is no minimum and no "consequence" for not meeting a goal. However, there is an incentive of getting a prize for the individual and team that raises the most! We play in the positive at CRC.
Do all donations need to be online?
Absolutely not! You can call and pay over the phone or send a check, cash, or money order through the mail, or you can "pay" us a visit at our new offices and complete your transaction in person!
Where do the proceeds of the event go?
All of the event proceeds go directly to supporting our mission: to ensure that No One faces cancer alone in our community. We rely on generosity to continue serving people affected by cancer in the Finger Lakes region with necessary support, provisions, services, and guidance. Every penny we receive stays local, and helps real humans facing real difficulties.
