Why do we "Walk Ahead"?
In December of 2017 I was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma- a rare, non-cancerous brain tumor that affects hearing, balance, and facial nerve function among other things.
In January of 2018 I was blessed with a successful surgery to remove "Timmy the Tumor".
After months of recovery and rehibilitation, our family decided that we needed to be proactive in an effort to find a cure for not only the specific tumor that impacted our lives, but to help raise awareness and funds for brain tumor research and be active in finding a cure.
There certainly isn't a day that goes by that we do not count our blessings and are thankful that we have been given the chance to raise awareness and fight for a cure. We have had so many friends and family walk this journey with us and can't begin to express our gratitude and appreciation. It is our hope that each of you continue support both the Praeter Family Acoustic Neuroma Research fund and our efforts in finding a cure for ALL brain tumors.
