Tony and Beth are fundraising for the Humane Society of Huron Valley by participating in Walk & Wag and Run at Rolling Hills County Park! Tony plans to run in the 5K Race and Beth will join the mile walk. We are members of Team Silver Bell, a tribute to the first name our dog Bella was given at the shelter. Silver Bell got shortened to Bella while she was in foster care, and she kept it when she came home with us.
As a dog in care of HSHV, Bella benefited from time in a foster home. Now that she has her own home with us, we sometimes get to welcome foster dogs for short-term stays. Bella is pictured in our team profile photo with her buddy Moonlight, a foster dog who spent over a year* looking for an adopter. Dogs like Moonlight are not comfortable in the shelter, so fostering helps them relax so they can show their true personalities.
Walk & Wag raises funds so that all pets in need (dogs, rabbits, birds, reptiles, and others -- even cats!) have a chance to find their best homes.
