It has been a year of big changes for Bailey.  He is now at the high school and big brother Colin has gone off to College in Massachusetts.  Bailey has really tried his best to adjust to all the changes he has faced this year and we continue to manage his complex medical issues. 

Bailey has faced all of these changes bravely.  Watching Bailey grow and change in positive ways has reminded me of one very important fact for all the students at Academy 360 - they need opportunity and want to be included.  Day to day these students are frequently faced with a world that does not understand them.  Academy 360 most basically provides an environment that they can grow and learn. A place where they are accepted and comfortable and provides opportunities for them to try new things.

We are very grateful that Bailey has such a place.  This year we have seen Bailey engage in his community based instruction and looks forward to it each week.  He has also had the opportunity to participate in chorus and work in the greenhouse.  This year he also participated in an intramural basketball team. In addition, we are seeing and increase in his expressive language and an improvement is his focus, attention and comprehension.

For all of these things we are grateful to Academy 360 and all the wonderful dedicated staff who make all these things possible.
