Ten years ago, I was diagnosed with CRPS — Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. If you haven't heard of it, you're not alone. Most people haven't. But I am here to change that!

Here's what CRPS is — but the short version: it's rated as the most painful condition in medical science. It usually impacts one limb and is characterized by severe constant burning/throbbing pain, often accompanied by swelling, skin color changes, extreme sensitivity to touch, temperature changes, etc. And for me, it's full body.

There was a time I couldn't imagine doing a walk. Not a fundraising walk — any walk, or using my hands to type this email. That was my reality.

Since then, I’ve had incredible travel experiences, began @lanasdesserts, moved to LA, and more! I've built a life I'm proud of. Not because CRPS got easier — but because I had access to the best doctors and treatments in NYC, Chicago, and LA...and because I have the most incredible support network a person could ask for.

But here's what keeps me up at night: most people with CRPS don't have that. They don't have the resources. They don't have the access. And the research — while growing — is still desperately underfunded.

That's why on June 6th, I'm walking.

My goal is $2,500 but I want to blow right past it. Every dollar goes toward funding research and support for people living with this disease who don't have the resources.
