Because of the global health pandemic, we have made the decision to hold our Walk for HAWC fundraiser virtually this year. We invite you to support HAWC and raise critical funds for our services and survivors of domestic violence during a time when we truly need it most. Though we won't be able to come together physically, we encourage you to register and start fundraising online to support survivors of abuse. You can still join or form a team, or register as an individual virtual walker!
As the weather warms up and many are encouraged to stay home, the Walk for HAWC is the perfect excuse to get outside for some fresh air, sunshine, and exercise. You can complete your 5K walk all at once at a time of your choosing, or in phases over several days or weeks. Share your progress with your friends, family and colleagues on social media with a link to your fundraising page, and help support survivors of domestic violence, who are at an increased risk of danger during this time of social distancing and isolation.
Fundraising is extended through May 31! The funds raised from our annual event directly support our life-saving services, including an Emergency Shelter, Legal Services, 24-hour hotline, Children Services, Advocacy & Education, and more. We help more than 2,700 survivors annually who have experienced domestic abuse. The health pandemic is creating additional funding challenges for us, and we need your support today!
