Violence against women and girls is being termed the 'shadow pandemic' of COVID-19. Emerging data shows that, not suprisingly, rates of domestic violence increased since lockdowns and stay-at-home orders have gone into place.
On Sunday, May 3, 2020, I will be participating in the Virtual Walk for HAWC. The Walk brings together members of the North Shore community to raise critical funds for HAWC (Healing Abuse Working for Change) and domestic violence survivors.
Especially now, when so many people are isolated at home in volatile situations with abusers, help HAWC get the resources they need to provide life-saving support. HAWC needs your support now, more than ever.
Please consider donating to my efforts to help survivors of abuse.
