On Sunday, May 3rd, Georgia and I will be participating in the Virtual Walk for HAWC.

Domestic Violence survivors need help now. In a time of mass isoation,  with limited human connection and resources, HAWC knows surivors are more at risk than ever. I believe the world wants to end domestic violence. In this time of crisis we have seen communities rally to help those most at risk and HAWC is asking for you to rally around survivors in this very same way. By donating to HAWC, you allow us to maintain our most critical services, as well as work to meet the urgent needs of survivors. Please support Georgia and I in our effort to raise awareness and funds for survivors. 

I see the Walk for HAWC as an opportunity to remind us that all people deserve a life that is safe and free of abuse. This walk is also an opportunity to show Georgia and her friends that they can be community change makers. She walking to raise funds to ensure that HAWC can continue to provide free support for survivors of abuse. Please support them in this effort!

Did you know that in the United States, an average of 20 people are believed to be abused by intimate partners every minute? And, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have been physically abused by an intimate partner. This is an issue I really care about, and I am walking to show my commitment to ending domestic violence.
