Event Details

  • Since 2007, HomeWalk, United Way’s annual 5K family run/walk to end homelessness, has brought together more than 130K people from across LA County and raised over $10M that has helped move over 20,000 people into the safety of a home.
    • Throughout its 13-year history, HomeWalk has powered the big ideas and ambitious plans of United Way and our community partners, influencing legislation for homeless solutions and prevention and leading the mobilization of over 150,000 Angelenos in the Everyone In campaign, advocating and supporting housing solutions in our region's 88 cities.

  • As we look towards centering racial equity and justice in UWGLA’s mission and impact work, we are expanding HomeWalk to reach further and help our communities devastated after an unprecedented pandemic.
    • This is not the end of Homewalk, but the beginning of something new, to permanently break the cycles of generational poverty by addressing the interrelated root issues of housing stability, education, and economic mobility.

  • The new WalkUnitedLA is a family 5K run/walk to end poverty in Los Angeles County, to directly meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors and communities, especially BIPOC and those hit hardest by the pandemic. We’re expanding the focus of this event to align with our work across the root causes of poverty. We’ll be fundraising and raising awareness to:
    • End homelessness
    • Provide equitable and quality education to all students; and
    • Ensure greater economic mobility and increased access to opportunities for working families and individuals

  • Thanks to the Los Angeles Rams, WalkUnitedLA will be an in-person event held at the new SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021.
    • Spend your Saturday with United Way of Greater LA and the Los Angeles Rams and power the movement to end poverty for our unhoused neighbors, students and working families.
    • Our organizations are walking united to create an unforgettable experience for runners, walkers, fans, and fundraisers of all ages to help end poverty in LA County.
    • Join us today as we walk united towards a more just and inclusive LA County. United for Housing. United for Education. United for Economic Mobility.

Together we will WalkUnited to help those hit hardest by the pandemic.
