My Personal Fundraising Page

I think everyone is looking for a way to help right now, so I'll put in my plug for the animal shelter where I've worked for the past 8+ years.

HSHV has really ramped up our programs to help people who are struggling, and I'm really proud of all my coworkers who are growing all these programs which are more needed than ever: providing people with rides to the vet, providing free or low-cost vet care, walking dogs for seniors, passing out free pet food and supplies, fostering animals whose humans are in the hospital or going through other crises, running educational programs at the juvenile detention center, community centers and schools, and much more. Not only does all this help people, but their animals too -- a lot more animals are coming into shelters than getting adopted, which is a crisis that really hit in 2024 and doesn't show any signs of stopping. All Walk & Wag fundraising helps keep animals with the people who don't want to give them up, plus goes toward the housing, fostering, training and medical care for all our shelter animals who truly don't have anywhere else to go (like my own 2 kitties, many years ago!)
