I am fundraising for Walk and Wag and Run! Please donate to my page to help me reach my goal and support homeless, injured and abused animals.
Do you believe in saving animals from cruelty? In giving an injured dog lifesaving medical care? In caring round-the-clock for a litter of abandoned kittens? The Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) is there for the community's animals when they need help the most. As a no-kill shelter, HSHV has no time limits for animals; even if it takes months or years of training, medical care and TLC, they'll stick with an animal until they find just the right home. And it's all because of supporters like us. They need our help!
Please know your tax-deductible donation will be used wisely. HSHV is in the top 1% of nonprofits ranked by Charity Navigator, thanks to their fiscal prudence, accountability and transparency.

Thank you for your help!
Help for those like Cali
I'm fundraising for animals like Cali, who was rescued by HSHV Cruelty Investigators after a witness reported her being kicked, punched and stomped on by her owner. Cali went on to spend 800 days in the shelter's care, as her court case dragged on. HSHV helped her heal from a broken leg, multiple fractures and such severe swelling on her head that they thought she might be blind. But thanks to people like you and me, Cali got all the care she needed. Once her case was resolved, Cali was happily adopted by the loving foster family who cared for her all that time! Will you help me continue making a difference for the animals like her who still need us? All donations to my Walk & Wag page make a difference!
Animal Cruelty is Everywhere
"Today, the Ann Arbor Police brought this dog to the Humane Society of Huron Valley after he had been found in a dumpster. He had to be lifted out in a sling, and suffers from a large tumor on the side of his ribs. He is now getting medical treatment at HSHV, and is very nervous but also very sweet. This is why I signed up to help the animals: because there are so many like him who have nowhere to turn, and rely on us for their care. And while unfortunately there are people in the world who would do something like this, there are even more of us who want to make the world a safer place for animals. If you're able to help me today, either by donating or spreading the word in case anyone has information about this dog, I would be so grateful!
