A Charity Event to Benefit the Alzheimer’s Project

Phil Nowicki was a full-time caregiver for his wife, Delane, who passed away in 2017 from Alzheimer’s disease. He and Delane were regular recipients of the Alzheimer’s Project services. In 2018, Phil became a member of our Board of Directors. This year, his last and final year, he served as Chair.
Phil exemplifies the expression: “pay it forward.” During his six years on the board, he never missed a meeting. He researched and wrote dozens of articles of benefit to caregivers. He served on regional and state taskforces and committees as an advocate for caregivers “now walking in his shoes.” This year’s 2023 Forget-Me-Not Walk is to recognize and honor Phil for all of his tireless years of service to our organization and community.
The Forget-Me-Not Walk will be on December 10th. However, you can donate from December 1-17. The money raised will help local families in need through the following programs and services:
Respite care including music & exercise therapy
Support groups for caregivers
Training for caregivers
Personal and family counseling
Programs to locate those who wander
Alzheimer's Disease Resource Manual
The Walk registration fee is $35. If you log in to register for the Walk and have an account from a previous year, it will ask for your password. If you do not remember it, click on “reset password” to proceed with your registration.
