Why We Walk
Every October on the first Wednesday of the month, the Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire hosts Walk a Mile in Their Shoes (WAM). WAM is a light-hearted event to raise awareness about very serious issues – domestic, sexual and gender violence. We walk to show solidarity, support survivors, and to raise awareness of domestic and sexual violence in Merrimack County. Friendly, furry friends are welcome!
You can make a difference for survivors in need!
Proceeds from the event will go to support CCCNH's programs and support services. Each year, CCCNH advocates provide life-saving services to those in our community who are impacted by domestic and sexual violence.
What About the Shoes?
One thing we always look forward to at Walk A Mile In Their Shoes is the shoes – pumps, platforms, stilettos, knee-high boots, sneakers, flip flops and even flats. You can wear whatever works for you!
Thank you for partnering with us to help make this event our best Walk A Mile yet!
