Erik and I first met while working at a hospice in Florida, and since then, end-of-life care has remained close to our hearts. We’ve had family members receive the comfort and compassion hospice provides, and as a PA hospitalist, I’ve seen firsthand how dignity, respect, and loving care can make all the difference in someone’s final chapter. Hospice of the Upstate ensures these services are available to every person, regardless of their ability to pay. This year, our whole family is setting sail in the Hospice Regatta to raise funds for this mission.
