The One Design sailing class I belong to is sailing in this regatta to raise funds for Hospice of the Upstate. This will be my 4th time participating in this regatta and I want to share my experiences with you. Ronnie Ashmore (a member of the Buccaneer 18 Class Association) is part of this leadership group that has raised in excess of $1m in the short time this regatta has been in existence. The 2025 goal is $135,000 and we have been able to meet every years goal since inception. Let's make sure that we continue this pattern.
This Hospice Regatta is held at the Western Carolina Sailing Club on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, SC. It is a fantastic venue and the clubhouse overlooks the lake. This a family friendly event and there are multiple classes of racers that participate.
