For several years now, I have been supporting the Hospice Regatta, and additionally engaging either as "ground team", sailboat tactician and crew. This year is a first for me as I am skippering my own boat Stealth Spirit, a Pearson 26, in the two-day distance race on Lake Hartwell. 

I am excited to be participating at this level and even more excited to be able to support Hospice of the Upstate through my team Women on the Water (WOW). We are a group of women at the Western Carolina Sailing Club who get together, have fun, open up to new challenges in sailing and learning and, most importantly, GET ON THE WATER. 

I am so pleased to continue to support Hospice of the Upstate, a non- profit hospice that provides end of life care for people without insurance and special needs. Personally having experienced with my own parents the immense generosity of the people involved in hospice care, it is a pleasure to support this organization and others like it that help imbue life's transition with compassion and grace, for patient's and family alike.
