This is my first marathon not only with Doug Flutie's Autism Foundation, but EVER!!!
I'm someone who finds joy and fulfillment in an active lifestyle, where fitness isn't just a routine but a passion. Whether it's hitting the pavement for a refreshing run, tackling challenging trails on a hike, or pushing myself to new limits in the gym, I thrive on the energy and sense of accomplishment that comes from pushing my physical boundaries. Yet amidst the exhilaration of these activities, nothing compares to the simple pleasures of spending quality time with my family. They're my anchor, my support system, and the source of endless laughter and cherished memories. In the balance between pursuing personal fitness goals and nurturing familial bonds, I find the essence of a truly fulfilling life.
Why Am I Running?
I am so happy to be running this marathon for a great cause. I have several years in the ABA Therapy field for children with Autism, and I am now an Auntie Hay Hay to 3 children with Autism which is my primary motivator.
As I lace up my shoes and prepare to tackle this marathon, I do so with a purpose beyond personal achievement. I'm running with passion and determination to support the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. Every step I take is fueled by the desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by autism spectrum disorder. By participating in this marathon, I'm not just covering miles; I'm raising awareness, funds, and hope for a brighter future for those navigating the complexities of autism. Every donation, every stride, brings us closer to providing vital resources, support, and opportunities for individuals with autism to thrive. This marathon isn't just about crossing the finish line; it's about crossing boundaries, breaking barriers, and fostering a more inclusive and understanding world for all.
