"I can do hard things". My daughter was diagnosed as autistic at 2.5 years old and has been doing hard things ever since. She works hard daily doing OT, play therapy, and ABA and has been making tremendous strides in her life.
With that, I want to show her we can do hard things, and sometimes it takes some work and effort to get us there. I have committed to running and fundraising for autism research and raising awareness and acceptance. I have challenged myself to do my first full marathon and further challenge myself by doing a 5k, 10k, and a half marathon on the same weekend. This will definitely be a challenge but I guarantee it won't be measurable to what she does and will have to face in her life.
If you're not able to contribute financially, I'd love for you to share our post and story, do something kind, or share or learn something new about autism.
With love,
Jessica and Olive
