Thank you so much for coming to check out our fundraising page! Who are we? We are Katie McMenamin & Heather Gustafson! We have been best friends since the 8th grade when Katie moved to Webster & Heather was assigned to show her around. Over the years, we have done so many things together from getting our senior photos done together, to standing by each others side at our weddings, to running a half marathon together! Life is definitely better when were together so it only made sense that we tackle this HUGE accomplishment together: We're running a marathon! We're not running just any marathon.. oh no no! We are running the Disney Marathon! We'll get to see characters, hop on rides, & outrun those balloon ladies. We are so excited! When the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism were able to find 2 bibs for us (Thank you, Joe!) we knew we had to make it happen. This will be our first marathon so it's an intimidating task, but for the Flutie Foundation, we can do it!

Why the Flutie Foundation? 3 of our 4 children have an autism diagnosis. The Flutie Foundation is an organization that puts in the work! They support so many local programs, they offer grants to families with people on the spectrum, they do so much GOOD in our autism world. We also really appreciate that they always have a positive outlook on autism. So many people view autism as a bad thing, and they are helping to change that very incorrect stigma. If they can do hard things, so can we! We are so honored to run for them.
