Through our friends and family, we have already helped Wells of Life refurbish two water wells in villages in Uganda in Adam’s memory. We would love to carry on his legacy in this way.
Remembering Adam
Adam Nemat was an extraordinary young man who was committed to making the world a better place. In his short 17 years, he spent countless hours serving the community that he lived in. While he had a talent for math and science, he had a passion for people. He helped put together blood drives and food drives at school, he worked at putting together forums to help his peers through difficult situations, and he handed out food to the unhoused at the City Park on Thanksgiving. He saw a new level of poverty on a trip to South Africa and was committed to doing more globally. To that end, he became an officer in the Thirst Project at his high school to raise awareness about water scarcity. He spent countless hours fundraising and bringing awareness to the ongoing water crisis. His passion for this topic inspired everyone around him to carry on his legacy and continue on his work. His life was tragically cut short on March 22nd, 2024, which is World Water Day.
