Walk for Kids 2022 ○ Duncan Valley Families

HANNAH's HEROs
When you support my Walk for Kids fundraiser, you’re making a difference for families when it matters most.
4 years ago at this time our family was devastated when our daughter Hannah Blake was in a car accident. By this time, we were staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Southern Arizona.
We had no idea that would be the last Holiday we would spend with her here on Earth.
We would have never made it through without our family and friends. My mom and dad had our Ethan, who was going to school, while we were at the RMH, with our two youngest, Locryn & Liam.
The first time we ever went to the walk was while we were staying there. We were out of our minds with grief and worry, the boys were in a new place, not understanding what was happening and one of the sweetest ladies there suggested we go to the walk that day. Get some fresh air, some exercise and go to the activities with the boys. There we met so many families that have been helped by RMH.
We would not have survived emotionally or financially without them.
This year, I've tried to hide my grief. Thanksgiving has some really hard emotions attached to it. Hailee Hernandez also got married recently. This brought so much happiness, but also in the back of my mind was so much grief. Hannah and Hailee could always be found together talking about their weddings. (Hannah mostly). They would do hairstyles, talk about dresses, and who they thought they'd marry. I grieve those things that I will never get to experience with her.
We ask as a family, that if you have a little money to spare around this Holiday time, and are looking for your money to have a major impact, please donate to the RMH. The impact you will have on a family will be far reaching, and extend for genrations and ripple out in ways you can't even imagine.
This Thanksgiving, I am grateful to those who donated before I even knew about this charity, so we could be close to our daughter, have our family with us, have the support (emotionally and financially) to be close to Hannah and able to be just a few minutes away to spend precious time with her to her end on this earth and pass into the next.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona (RMHC-SA) is dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of children by providing a place for them and their families to call home when they travel to Tucson while battling critical illness or injury. RMHC-SA relies on the support of the Southern Arizona community to continue its services to more than 600 families each year. Learn more about the families they serve at www.rmhctucson.org/our-stories.
Best of all, every donation you make towards my goal stays right here in Southern Arizona, helping families heal together even when they're far from home.
Thanks for your support!
