Last summer I was lucky enough to participate in this program. I was sent to Yosemite National Park in California and got to experience two weeks of camping and backpacking. It was difficult and scary sometimes being out there, but I look back on it now and am greatful to have been able to do all of that. The experience was worth it. I got to meet new people and really get out of my comfort zone, especially being so far from home in a new setting. 

I won't be going on the summer trip this year, but I want to help another schoolmate get the opportunity to experience what I had. Hope anybody can donate to my school's group!
