Hello everyone, my name is Jose Roberto Melendez and I am a student at Chinquapin Preparatory School.

My plan is to be a member of The Woods Project and discover what it is like to go out into an environment different from the city and leave the life of modern society. I will forget about distractions by having No Phone Access and social media connections. I hope that I can learn alot from this trip such as the importance of nature and how I can build off this experience in the future. It is not easy for a teenager like me to go out of state for a trip to a national park because it is economically out of reach.  Your donation may allow me to climb mountains and explore new landscapes I've never seen with a group of high schoolers and instructors. I hope that I can attend this trip with your support.
