Hi! I’m Woody French, and while I grew up in Toms River, NJ, Charlotte has been my home for the last 26 years. I’m lucky to share life with my incredible wife, April, and our two smart and beautiful daughters, Shelby and Sydney. I’m also one of the owners of 3 Keys, Inc., a wine distribution company serving North and South Carolina. We focus on bringing small, family-owned wineries that farm responsibly to restaurants, retailers, and country clubs.

Beyond business, I’m passionate about supporting my community—and this year, that passion is laser-focused on helping those facing breast cancer.

Breast cancer became personal for me in October 2023, when my wife, April, was diagnosed. Hearing the words, “You have breast cancer” changed everything for our family. Suddenly, we were navigating doctor’s appointments, treatments, and the emotional weight of the unknown. Then, just a year later, my mother, Drucilla, had her own breast cancer scare.

Seeing my wife and mother go through this fight has shown me just how overwhelming it can be—not just for the person diagnosed, but for their entire family. That’s why Carolina Breast Friends means so much to me. They provide hope, community, and support so that no one has to face breast cancer alone.

Being a Big Wig isn’t just about putting on a pink wig. It’s about showing up, taking action, and using every resource I have to make a real difference. I’m not here just to meet a goal—I’m here to fundraise like crazy and make sure Survivors and Thrivers have the support they need.

I’ll be rocking my pink wig all over town:

• At Charlotte’s best restaurants, breweries, and wine bars, checking in on our amazing industry partners
• Walking my dogs on the rail trail and getting fresh air around the city
• Spending time with my family in South End, making memories together

I’m going all in to raise as much as possible for Carolina Breast Friends, and I’m using every tool, connection, and resource I have to make an impact. This isn’t just about a fundraiser—it’s about building a movement. To make it happen, I’m planning exciting events across Charlotte, including:

• Wine tastings and wine dinners featuring incredible selections from my network
• Burger night at Belle Acres with great food and even better company
• Brewery meet-ups with live music, bringing the community together for a great cause
• A special wine brunch, blending good food, good wine, and good friends
