I’m Kaitlyn O’Keefe, an oncologist at Oncology Specialists of Charlotte, where I dedicate my career to caring for breast cancer patients. Originally from New York, I moved to Charlotte eight years ago for medical training, and in that time, I’ve built a life here with my husband, Ryan, and our son, Murphy, who was born in March 2024. Outside of work, I love traveling internationally, staying active, and spending time with my family—especially on the weekends when you can often find us at a brewery with our dog.
Being a Big Wig is an opportunity to make a real impact beyond my role as a physician. Every day, I witness the resilience, strength, and courage of breast cancer patients and their families. I’ve seen how Carolina Breast Friends and The Pink House provide invaluable support through mentorship, education, and community, ensuring no one has to navigate their diagnosis alone.
This year, I’m wiggin’ out in honor of all my breast cancer patients, as well as my sister, a breast cancer survivor, and my mother, whom I lost to pancreatic cancer. Cancer affects everyone, and I consider it a privilege to stand beside my patients, provide them with hope, and support them in their fight. Raising funds and awareness through this campaign will help provide resources that allow women to tolerate treatments, live longer, and improve their quality of life.

How You Can Help
I plan to rally my network through social media, word of mouth, and peer-to-peer outreach with the help of Sherie Bradshaw, our office physician liaison. My goal is to raise awareness and funds to ensure Survivors and Thrivers continue receiving the support they need.
You can join my team, donate, and help make a lasting impact for breast cancer patients in our community.
