I’m Lisa Marie Johnson, a North Carolina family law attorney, a mom to an active 10-year-old, and now, a Big Wig for Carolina Breast Friends. My life is filled with balancing work, family, and my love for community service. I am also a huge Francophile, having spent a year studying in the French Alps during college, and I’m a proud Golden Girls fanatic and Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings nerd.
This year, I’m stepping up to Wig Out in honor of Thelma Elizabeth Johnson, knowing that even small actions can make a big difference in the fight against breast cancer.
Being a Big Wig means I have the chance to make an impact—to bring hope, awareness, and resources to someone navigating breast cancer. If I can help just one person, it will be worth it.
The support that Carolina Breast Friends provides to Survivors and Thrivers is life-changing, and I am honored to play a role in ensuring these resources remain available for those who need them most.
Where You'll See Me in My Pink Wig
Expect to find me all over town in my pink wig:
At work, advocating for families in Mecklenburg County
At school drop-off, making sure my son is off to a great day
At the park, enjoying fresh air and family time
At my son’s extracurricular activities and events, cheering him on
How You Can Help
My fundraising strategy is simple: build a strong team and start asking for donations. I believe in the power of community, and together, we can make a meaningful impact for Carolina Breast Friends and the countless Survivors and Thrivers they support.
