About Me

I serve as Chief Experience Officer for OneHealth Primary Care and have spent my career working to restore what matters most in medicine: human connection. Over the years, I’ve worked as a hospital administrator, consultant, and healthcare executive, always driven by a commitment to value, justice, compassion, empathy, and dignity in care.

At home, Laurel and I share a beautifully blended family with three incredible children: Logan, an officer in the U.S. Army; Chelsea, a grief and loss counselor in Nashville; and Kayla, who is pursuing veterinary medicine at Lincoln Memorial University.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me mountain biking, whitewater kayaking, traveling with Laurel, reading, performing with my band, or cooking for friends — usually with a thoughtfully selected bottle of wine in hand.

Why This Cause Matters to Me

I am a fierce champion and advocate for Carolina Breast Friends.

My commitment to breast cancer patients and their loved ones comes from years of witnessing both the profound suffering caused by this disease and the extraordinary healing that becomes possible through compassion, community, and shared humanity.

For so many, breast cancer is close to home — and it is for me as well. My mother lived to be 91 after surviving breast cancer through the extraordinary care of doctors and nurses years ago. In 2024, Laurel’s mom was diagnosed, and thanks to the support of the local medical community here in Charlotte, she is thriving today. I also carry this advocacy on behalf of several dear friends who have courageously faced breast cancer and are living their best lives.

In healthcare, we often focus on treatments and outcomes. But breast cancer reminds us that healing is not just clinical — it is deeply human. It requires support, understanding, and a place where people feel seen and held during one of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives.

Carolina Breast Friends provides exactly that.

What Being a Big Wig Means to Me

Being a Big Wig is about standing visibly and boldly in support of patients and families navigating breast cancer.

It’s about championing an organization that embodies what healthcare should feel like — compassionate, relational, empowering, and grounded in dignity.

It’s about raising funds to ensure no one walks this journey alone.

And yes, it’s also about wearing a pink wig with pride to spark conversations that matter.

Why I Said Yes to the Wig

Where You’ll See Me in My Pink Wig

You might catch me in my pink wig:

  • Around Charlotte
  • At community and networking events
  • In healthcare settings
  • Out to dinner with Laurel
  • Possibly cooking for friends or performing with my band

Wherever I go, I’ll share the mission of Carolina Breast Friends and invite others to get involved.
