About Me

I come from a large, tight-knit family that’s now spread across the United States, but thanks to a few key family members, we’ve always stayed connected. I’ve always been drawn to small towns and rural communities. There’s just something about that slower pace and strong sense of belonging.

I’m the proud father of two incredible kids. My daughter Taylor is an amazing artist, and my son Tyler, who has a true passion for futsal and soccer. There’s nowhere I’d rather be than spending time with them.

Professionally, I serve as a Regional Workforce Development Trainer for Rosendin Electric in Huntersville, NC. I’ve worked in the electrical trade for 30 years in various roles, and I now travel the East Coast supporting teams and projects. I’m fortunate to work alongside incredible people, many of whom I proudly call friends.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me outdoors hiking, wading in streams, fishing lakes and rivers with my kids, or attempting to improve my golf game (emphasis on attempting). On weekends, you might catch me at Middle James Brewing, Phantom Futsal in Pineville, Johnny’s Farmhouse in Mooresville, Gary’s BBQ in China Grove — or anywhere good people gather.

Why This Cause Matters to Me

My journey with Carolina Breast Friends began through a colleague and friend, Stacy Quilla, who is a proud and vocal supporter of the organization. After seeing firsthand the support and compassion Carolina Breast Friends provides to individuals and families navigating breast cancer, I quickly became an advocate myself.

Breast cancer has deeply impacted my life.

My Aunt Erma Foster, one of the pillars of our family and often the “conductor” who keeps us all connected, was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago. She endured an incredibly difficult battle, including a double mastectomy, and faced immense physical and mental challenges. Even during her hardest moments, she was still making sure our family stayed connected and cared for. That speaks volumes about her strength and character.

I’ve also witnessed my colleague and friend Brandon Jachimski and his wife, Lauren, walk through this journey together. It hasn’t been easy, but they’ve remained strong and positive. Recently, they received encouraging news regarding Lauren’s treatments — a reminder of why hope matters.

After seeing the toll breast cancer takes — not just on individuals, but on entire families — supporting Carolina Breast Friends was a no-brainer.

A Little About Me

What Being a Big Wig Means to Me

It wasn’t until I witnessed breast cancer impact both my family and my extended work family that I realized just how many lives are affected.

Being a Big Wig is about raising awareness and reminding people that no family has to face this alone. It’s about shining a light on the incredible support Carolina Breast Friends provides during one of the hardest seasons a person can walk through.

It is truly an honor to use my voice, my network, and, yes, my pink wig to help bring comfort and resources to families in need.
