About Me

I work as a Facilitator on the Learning & Development team at LPL Financial, helping others grow, learn, and thrive in their careers. Outside of work, I’m a big foodie who loves traveling, exploring new restaurants and festivals, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Giving back has always been close to my heart. I enjoy volunteering with nonprofit organizations and supporting initiatives that uplift our communities. I’m also a licensed cosmetologist and proud graduate of Aveda Charlotte — a role that allows me to help women feel beautiful, confident, and empowered.

One thing that defines me is my passion for uplifting women. As a survivor of domestic violence and someone who worked for the Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault for 10 years, I have dedicated much of my life to supporting women as they rebuild, rediscover their strength, and reclaim their voice.

Why This Cause Is Personal

Breast cancer is deeply personal for me.

My best friend, Michelle Smith, was diagnosed with stage five breast cancer and, soon after, lost her battle. Watching someone you love fight so hard and still lose that fight changes you forever.

I am participating as a Big Wig in honor of Michelle and every family that has been impacted by this disease.

Her strength, her spirit, and her memory are with me throughout this journey.

What Being a Big Wig Means to Me

Being a Big Wig means stepping up in honor of those we’ve lost and those still fighting.

I took on this role to honor Michelle and all those affected by breast cancer, hoping to make a real difference. If wearing a pink wig sparks one conversation, raises one donation, or helps one person feel supported,  it’s worth it.

This is about turning grief into action and love into impact.

Where You’ll See Me in My Pink Wig

You’ll see me proudly wearing my pink wig at:

  • LPL Financial
  • Elevation Church
  • Planet Fitness
  • Applebee’s (yes, I’ll be there too!)

And anywhere else I can spark awareness and conversation.

My Fundraising Plans

I’m reaching out to friends and family with flyers to share the mission of Carolina Breast Friends and the incredible services they provide. I’m also creating a list of businesses to contact and rallying support throughout my network.

In addition, I’m planning a wine tasting event and connecting with salons and spas I’m affiliated with through my cosmetology background. When women come together, powerful things happen.

A Little More About Me

Something people may not know is that supporting women isn’t just something I say — it’s something I live.

As a survivor of domestic violence and someone who worked in advocacy for 10 years, I understand what it means to walk through hard seasons and come out stronger. Helping women feel beautiful inside and out is my calling — whether that’s through mentorship, advocacy, or simply showing up.
