50 Reasons to LOVE Public Schools - and you're number one!
It has been a while since I did much in the way of fundraising. It feels different these days. Everything costs more, everyone is stretching things more… it feels like asking people to donate money is a bigger ask than it used to be.
At the same time, the impact nonprofits make in our communities has never seemed more urgent. So I’m compelled to make an ask… but maybe a bit of a different one than before. Usually my goal is to raise a certain dollar amount. This time, my goal is simply for as many of my friends, family members, and loved ones to give just a little.
I am hoping you (and 49 others) will donate just a few dollars to Save Our Schools Arizona by December 14th. The people who are trying to tear down public education are well funded, and the reality is we’ve always fought back against that with a lot more grit and love and determination and sacrifice than we have with money… but I hope you agree the people on this side of the fight deserve to be paid for the tireless work they do.
AND DID I MENTION... if I reach 50 donors before 6AM Arizona time on December 14th, I’ll be doing an online streaming GRATITUDE MARATHON that day, ALL day before *and* after the big trivia/dance party SOSAZ is hosting, in which I’ll be individually thanking every donor personally, listing at least 50 ways I'm grateful for public education, and hosting a slew of fun activities people can either drop in and watch or participate in.
