I grew up in a family that moved ever 12-18 months. My dad was a civilian contractor on military projects. We didn't have the support system provided by the US military. EVERY place we lived had well sourced, quality PUBLIC schools that were availble to every child without exception.
Most families don't move like we did, yet every child deserves the security of knowing that a quality public school is in their neighborhood. One that will not turn them away for any reason, has high quality staff, appropriate class sizes so that all needs are met everyday.
Growing healthy children into responsible and productive adults is the responsibility of every person in a community. That's why I support public schools in every zip code for every child.
