The Winter Walk is an initiative that believes ending homelessness is within our reach. Our mission is to raise awareness and funds towards that goal, and to support organizations that are working on prevention, support, and care for our homeless community.
We invite you to join us for this pilot version of our annual Winter Walk event. After 7 years in Boston, Massachusetts, and launching a new event this year in Western Massachusetts, the Winter Walk begins its national expansion in New York City. This short mile walk through the streets of New York City during the coldest month of the year will begin and end at the Bowery Mission's flagship location at 227 Bowery. Participants, housed and unhoused, will walk shoulder to shoulder and then share a meal together as we hear real stories of NYC’s homeless population.
Join us on Sunday, February 26, 2023. Registration opens at 10am, followed by a short presentation and walk, and a return for a warm grab and go breakfast celebration! For those who cannot join us in person, we will offer a remote option to walk anywhere and everywhere, and then to celebrate with us on February 26th from your own location.
