Greetings friends. For the last year I have been working closely with many of Boston's downtown homeless as a member of the Black Seed Writers. We meet weekly at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul. The writers I work with are often rough sleepers, unhoused, or in transitional residences. But despite their situation, they are smart, kind, welcoming and creative. Most are clean, and if healthy enough, working to sustain themselves.

The volunteers, ministers and others who dedicate their lives to helping this community are remarkable and inspiring. They provide warmth, food, clothing, reading material, counsel and access to numerous other resources in the city.  And they are just one of the many organizations rallying to help those in dire need.

I am joining them in trying to end, or at least lessen, the burden of homelessness. I dedicated my time, my photography and my money to the cause. But we need more. It takes money to buy food, offer transportation, deliver clothes and blankets to keep people warm, and keep the lights on. And so I am also walking.

I am hoping that you can help just a little. Please make a donation. Any amount will ease the pain and burden of those living on the streets. And if you want a way to get more involved, in person, working with this community directly, let me know and I will offer suggestions.
