On February 9th, I will be participating in the 2025 Winter Walk in support of the Ignatian Spirituality Project. Through spiritual companionship and storytelling, ISP invites people recovering from homelessness and addiction into Loving community with God, others, and themselves.
12.23.24 marked the 12th anniversary of my dad's death, and 12.24.24 was our Harrison's 1st birthday! As we reflected, too, on the Winter Solstice--the longest night of the year--the dance of darkness and light continued in a new way for me this year. As ever, I pray for people struggling with addiction like my dad did.
Epecially now, I ache for the world I long to see, for our country, for our city, and for our children. This small act feels meaningful to me this year.
Please learn more about the Winter Walk at winterwalk.org, and if you are able, ponder making a donation. Aware of the many important causes you support, I sincerely appreciate your consideration.
