Welcome to my fundraising page. I'm a member of the Walk's own team. That means 100% of the funds I raise are applied to continue to grow the positive impact of this event to #EndTheStigma of #mentalillness. It is an extraordinary group of people that are involved with planning and executing this event as no one receives any financial compensation for their efforts.

Besides doing outreach to meet my personal and team fundraising goals, I'm also spending my Summer doing outreach to businesses and community organizations to create their own Walk teams. There are so many who have been affected by mental illness and the stigma attached to it, either directly, or through contact with family, friends, or co-workers.

On a personal note, I will be walking for my nephew who was diagnosed with schizophrenia as a teenager, and has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals over the last 20 years. He's currently living with my ex sister-in-law, both doing the best they can. His chronic illness has not just weighed heavily on his parents and sister these past 20 years, but also his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
